Sixteenth Sunday After Trinity – Church Back Home- September 15, 2013

The Gospel reading is, in essence, the story of a widowed mother rescued from her own death. After all, in those days a widow depended on her son and if her son was dead, then her worldly support was limited to what cash was left over after she finished burying her son! Of course, no parent should have to bury a child, but in this case the implications were more.

And in the Epistle, something more. And worth considering as we face what we need to deal with in this life!

Blessed Be!
